Excel macro recorder is a very useful tool in VBA, using this feature’s you can record every task that is you want to perform in Excel for applying a repeated task. And you don’t have to be a programmer or know VBA code to write this. When you record a macro, Excel record all information about each step of performing in the VBA system. After end record then run this macro to repeat or playback by single commands. Recording steps include typing any text or numbers, formatting – ( cells, rows, or columns), any commands on the ribbon or menus, or even importing data from an external source.

Automatically a repetitive task can record as a macro with the Macro Recorder in Microsoft Excel. Think that you have entered your selected data in random formats and you want to apply a single format to all of them. A macro can do that for you. You can record a macro applying the format that you want and then repeat this macro whenever needed.

Purpose :

Using a macro recorder allows a user to easily perform complex operations much faster and with less effort without  VBA code writing for a repeated task.

Example : 

Let's Suppose the following image is monthly unformatted sales data information that is input in the whole month and from here need to generate total sales volume with other information at the end of every week or month or any period.

Now explain this reporting system  with a macro recorder very easily
For this step First access the Developer tab on the ribbon that provides access to the macro commands. because this tab it doesn't appear by default.  

So displaying the Developer tab go

On the File tab, then Options ( All office package versions are showing in the video ) are then  Customize Ribbon then checkbox on developer tab for access in a ribbon.

Now go to the developer code group, If you haven't run macros before, you just need to change your macro security level for enabling which macros run and under what situation when you open a workbook. 

Here have found four options- the second option is best suited.

You can choose two options before recording -Absolute or Relative reference, 

By default, Excel records macros in absolute mode. absolute reference places the recorded steps exactly in the cells where it was recorded on the active cell.

On the other hand, recorded with relative references can perform the recorded tasks at different parts of the worksheet.

An absolute reference is the best practice for good setup in a worksheet.

When using absolute reference the cell should be in (A1) then click the button on record macro. 

Now see the macro dialog box here in macro name type a name for the macro to identify when to use many macros, the name should be descriptive. In shortcut key is also used to quickly command for a macro run after record.

In-store where are important – list see different option  - personal workbook, new workbook, this workbook. If store personal workbook then this macro is automatically saved in the XLSTART folder that is supported to repeated excel same file for macro command,
if store others' two option macro then this file should be saved as (  .xlsm ) format in any destination and this file should be open before applying your macro repeated command.

And finally, in the description box type, any description for macro identifies then enter ok.

After ok then macro recording will start and what you perform in excel will save in the macro system.  Please see the video tutorial step by step.

After recording, your all job stored in a macro system then just apply this from the developer tab  > then go macro >  then from the macro dialog box run your macro selected.
